The low dopamine states habitual to ADHD and the internalized shame from cptsd lead to a disconnection between brain and body. we can affirm and vision board our way only so far—but unless we know how to feel safe in our bodies, we get stuck or default to fight/flight/freeze/appease. those of us who are medicated might need extra help paying attention to our body’s signals.

Often, our mind knows what to do but our bodies are stuck in freeze or dissociate or in freefall. or, we seek sensations but we don’t know how to self-soothe when our routine collapses yet again.

We benefit from guided touch and movement based exercises from aikido and chi gong that lead us to speak from the heart about what is most important to us.

Utilizing movement and mealtimes as meditation and combining this with NSDR (non-sleep deep rest)/yoga nidra allows us to tap into our subconscious and plant the seeds of our intention to live a joyful, purposeful, and just life.
